Food Bank

For the past few weeks, the kids classes have been collecting food to donate to a local food bank. As a church family lets join them and work together to help families in need. In the gospels, Jesus takes just five loaves of bread and two fish and makes it enough to feed 5000. At the end the disciples are left with twelve baskets of food. As a church family, let’s try to fill up twelve “baskets” of food with items to donate to the Tillicum Food Bank. Please talk to for more information.

Hi All!

In our service this Sunday we listened as a burden was shared to help stock shelves in an area Food Bank over the holidays. Norm shared about seeing a 'mountain of food' in front of the Church. Several of us have caught that vision and are doing more than just wishing.

Here's a note I received from Fred, that spoke of what the Lord had laid on his heart to do. I pass it on incase the Lord might nudge your heart in a similar way!:

Good afternoon Pastor Tom, Hello, I am Fred. In church last Sunday we discussed a mountain of food for the food bank. Consequently I am calling everybody I have ever done business with in the area including day care centers, attorneys, dentists, mechanic, doctor, customers, vendors etc. etc.. I am asking these people if I can put an empty box and a sign for food donations in their establishment. The sign simply reads in bold print: Food bank donationsplease give generously to help stock ourarea food banks before the holidays.Thank you!


I think this is more than a great idea, I think that God is in it! I pass this on for your prayers and for your response as the spirit leads. Your donations of non-perishable food can be brought to the Church at any of our service times or give me a call to make sure someone will be there.
